The ICDE World Conference in Costa Rica, San Jose 2023

From November 6 to 10, over 600 delegates gathered at the Costa Rica Convention Centre in San José, Costa Rica, for the first ICDE World Conference in four years. Under the theme “Joining Hands in Peace for the Futures of Education”, delegates heard fascinating presentations from 11 keynote speakers representing all world regions, participated in a series of concurrent sessions covering important topics in open, flexible, and distance learning (OFDL), and experienced the warm hospitality and vibrant culture of Costa Rica.

I was in deep discussions with two of the pioneers in Open, Flexible, and Distance Learning, Sir John Daniel and Tony Bates at the #ICDEWC23 (photos too large to upload unfortunately)
