OLC AND GLOBAL LEADERSHIP IN ONLINE LEARNING
The Online Learning Consortium (OLC) is a collaborative community of higher education leaders and innovators dedicated to advancing high-quality digital teaching and learning experiences to reach and engage the modern learner - anyone, anywhere, anytime. It's a community of practice addressing global change work through actively connecting the UN SDGs to online, blended, and digital learning.

This year, the Global Leadership Summit was held on October 24-25, 2022. I was invited as one of the speakers. At the beginning of this fall, on October 3, 2022, I was also invited as a guest speaker of the IELOL Global 2022 to speak specifically on the following topic SDG #10: Reduced Inequalities.

OLC assembled the first international cohort of IELOL in 2020. This new professional learning offering, IELOL Global, focused on the transformative power of global collaborations in implementing change in digital learning locally and globally. In creating the curriculum for this new offering, it was determined that the program should focus on building capacity for sustainable global change work.

Since its founding as the Sloan Consortium (Sloan-C) in 1999, the Consortium has been the leading professional society for online learning, working to promote high-quality online, blended, and digital learning in a variety of contexts, roles, and geographic regions around the world. Since 2008, the Online Learning Consortium has offered the prestigious Institute for Emerging Leadership in Online Learning (IELOL) to address the development needs of emerging leaders responsible for a variety of digital learning initiatives in higher education.
