A new year to begin in 2025. There are many challenges ahead. For this year I am very proud and honored to continue with the ICDE - International Council for Open and Distance Education as a Board member. ICDE is the oldest and largest global organization in our field. This year will be very much of interest as we launched the new ICDE strategy on 5th December 2024, to come into action and to be implemented in 2025-2028. Find the Strategic Plan 2025-2028 here https://www.icde.org/governance/ It will be an honor and I am committed to advocating for the new strategy and activity plan for the coming year(s) in my different roles, networks, and assignments during the year. I like the new strategy as it is very straightforward and with easily understandable messages on:
➡️ Purpose
➡️ Target groups
➡️ Value for Members
➡️ ICDE Delivery
➡️ Organization
➡️ Culture
It was very interesting work to be part of its development and processes during the year. The overall aim is that "Together we shape inclusive, scalable and sustainable education" and we build a Culture of Care, Curiosity, and Challenges.

Last week I finalized and submitted the reports of the two Committees I have Chaired for ICDE, The ICDE NordFlexOn, and the ICDE OER Advocacy Committee (OERAC), both are part of the ICDE Global Advocacy Campaign (GAC), as a regional hub and a focal hub. Thanks for all the work ICDE is doing.
