Kvalitet i distansutbildning

Universitets- och högskolerådet genomför en satsning för ökad kvalitet och genomströmning i distansutbildning vid svenska universitet och högskolor. Syftet med satsningen är att ge ökad tillgång till högskoleutbildning och utveckla digitala verktyg för distansutbildning, men också att bidra till att stärka kompetensförsörjningen i hela landet. Projektet ska utveckla lärosätens långsiktiga förutsättningar att erbjuda distansutbildning.

Under åren 2021–2022 genomför UHR ett regeringsuppdrag som innebär en satsning för att höja kvaliteten och öka genomströmning i distansutbildning vid universitet och högskolor. Regeringsuppdraget genomförs inom ramen för projektet "Kvalitet i distansutbildning". 

Projektet Kvalitet i distansutbildning består av tre delar; den första är arbete med kvalitetsfaktorer för distansutbildning, den andra är utlysning av utvecklingsmedel till lärosäten och den tredje är en plattform för kollegialt lärande kring distansutbildning.

I had the pleasure and honor to be in the Jury together with Dr. Richard Wahlund, Dr. Marla Royne Stafford, ICT Specialist Mats Brenner, Dr. Claudia Rademaker, and Dr. Patrik Nilsson

This was the CRITERIA: for the Teacher heroes::

  • driving the digital transformation to increase quality and equality in assessment
  • making their school a digital pioneer in assessment to improve learning outcomes
  • inspiring and motivating other teachers to reach pedagogical excellence with the help of digital assessment

ICoBC Symposium from Theory to Reality

ICoBC Symposium 30 November 2021

I have worked with ICoBC in the Quality Commitee, which I Chair and we, myself and Professor Abtar Kaur, Malaysia, have worked on the with the Taxonomy and Quality Grid. 23/09/2021, the ICoBC Taxonomy, Quality Criteria, and Quality Grid, authored by our Quality Committee, was released . The first ICoBC Symposium, was held on the 30th of November 2021 in Berlin, Germany. The Symposium was around the topic "from theory to reality. This day-long symposium focused on sharing digital credential uses cases and successful implementations of digital credential frameworks. The symposium brought together thought leaders, employers, associations and non-profits, higher education institutions, government representatives, and technology solution providers. Read more here

UKÄ presenterade resultaten från regeringsuppdragets andra delrapportering vid ett webinar den  8 december 2021. Läs mer här

Coronapandemin har under lång tid begränsat högskolornas verksamhet inom undervisning och forskning. UKÄ följer pandemins konsekvenser och vi presenterar nu resultaten från vår andra delrapport till regeringen. I den ingår undersökningar bland annat av hur pandemin har påverkat situationen för studenter och doktorander, den internationella studentmobiliteten och effekterna av övergången till undervisning på distans. Vi ser att den sociala snedrekryteringen till högskolan förstärktes under pandemins första fas. Även forskningen har påverkats på olika sätt. Presentationerna kan laddas ner här

UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science

The General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), meeting in Paris, from 9 to 24 November 2021, at its 41st session. Read more here

The aim of this Recommendation is to provide an international framework for open science policy and practice that recognizes disciplinary and regional differences in open science perspectives, takes into account academic freedom, gender-transformative approaches and the specific challenges of scientists and other open science actors in different countries and in particular in developing countries, and contributes to reducing the digital, technological and knowledge divides existing between and within countries. 2. This Recommendation outlines a common definition, shared values, principles and standards for open science at the international level and proposes a set of actions conducive to a fair and equitable operationalization of open science for all at the individual, institutional, national, regional and international levels.3. To achieve its aim, the key objectives and areas of action of this Recommendation are as follows:i. promoting a common understanding of open science, associated benefits and challenges, as well as diverse paths to open science;ii. developing an enabling policy environment for open science; iii. investing in open science infrastructures and services;iv. investing in human resources, training, education, digital literacy and capacity building for open science;v. fostering a culture of open science and aligning incentives for open science;vi. promoting innovative approaches for open science at different stages of the scientific process; vii. promoting international and multi-stakeholder cooperation in the context of open science and with view to reducing digital, technological and knowledge gaps.
